Here are screencaps of Dominic Monaghan's appearances in
the second season of Hetty Wainthropp Investigates,
at which time he was 19.
4 April, 2005
It really annoys me that I should have to say this at all,
but if you are going to use ANY of the content from this
site on another site, please give me credit. Just an acknowledgement
on a links or credit page that the screencaps came from
here is fine. I am happy for people to use these caps on
their site. All I ask for is a credit that they originally
came from here. I made every single screencap and clip
on this site myself. I have not used anything from other
sites except their link banners and buttons.
If you have a question about why you can't directly
link to my screencaps, or about why you can't see my clips,

Episode Seven -
'Poison Pen'
"This isn't a case. He only wants a photo of
you in black leather. That should be easy to satisfy!"
Geoffrey explaining his theory of choosing cases
carefully.
Alert Greyhound Geoffrey!
This cap is here because there isn't enough Geoff
in this episode, and it's full length *cough*.
He lurves that notebook. Dig the cute little frown.
Geoff and Mr Wainthropp conspire to take on a case
of their own while Hetty's away!
First, they must cook supper; apparently Geoff's
sick of cooking hotpot, his only culinary skill.
Geoffrey pissed off that Hetty's keeping her case
to herself.
Hetty's just pointedly asked which of them is going
to 'entrap' the suspected unfaithful wife-to-be of
their latest client...
He is! No, he is!
Geoffrey sets out to entrap and seduce. Yeah, that
suit'll really do it.
Licking of the finger, alas without much tongue.
Once more unto the breach, to entrap the chick in
the chemist's shop!
Poor Geoff's pathetic excuse at entrapment. First
he goes all tongue-tied...
Then she mistakes his meaning...
And she sends him off to the condoms. Heee :)
Finally, Geoffrey has to confess failure to Hetty
- who's already solved her case, the smart-arse old
cow.
Episode Eight - 'Lost Chords'
Hetty: "Just take the notes, Geoffrey"
Smug!Geoffrey impresses the client with his knowledge.
Geoffrey never tucks his shirt in.
Cute Bemused Geoffrey.
Geoffrey gets told off by piggish client for being
too eager.
Geoffrey gets to do some interrogating.
Yet more interrogating from our mini-detective.
Tongue! Tongue!
Geoffrey being all alert after setting the table
beautifully.
Piggish client says that "Only women and poofs
eat salad."
Geoffrey responds, "Well, I think I'd like
some salad."
Geoffrey chuckles at Hetty's wit. I swoon over Geoffrey.
Now she's even trying to take the notebook away
from him!
He loves his sausages. Oh yes.
Alert, bright-eyed, young, yummy Geoffrey. Mmmm.
Geoff and Hetty spy Mr Wainthropp looking a bit
the worse for wear.
Geoffrey offers Mr Wainthropp some masculine sympathy.
Geoffrey the waiter: look, it's Manuel-Geoffrey!
Geoffrey on the piss.
Episode Nine - 'Runaways'
Geoff's finally bought the ubiquitous scooter.
Hetty: "You were supposed to beat her down!"
Geoff: "She beat me up."
Munch, munch. This episode proves a fine return
to form for Geoffrey the Remorseless Eating Machine.
Geoffrey interrogates young intellectually handicapped
women, avoiding being flirted with by using his Stern
Face.
And then one of them provides him with clues! Actual
clues which he has to figure out all on his little
lonesome!
Geoffrey and Hetty interrogate someone who thinks
Geoff's Hetty's son. Aww.
A look that tells a thousand words...
Geoffrey holds Hetty back from telling off the interrogatee.
New Action!Geoffrey! Comes with scooter, helmet,
gloves and annoying elderly woman.
Hetty using Geoff as some kind of support mechanism,
leaning heavily on his comparatively tiny frame.
Geoffrey keeping Hetty's spirits up. He's so considerate.
Geoffrey opens the front door of Casa Wainthropp...
...to be semi-attacked by the mad mayor and his
wife! Run, Geoff! Run!
ComicRelief Geoffrey, snickering at the Mayor's
peacock feathers...
... until they really begin to annoy him.
Sinister Old Man peers at Our Geoffrey in a Sinister
Way.
Geoffrey gets squished between Hetty and Sinister
Old Man.
Geoffrey offers to counsel Sinister Old Man about
getting on with difficult parents. Awwwww!
Geoffrey shows his Sudden Realisation Face. I want
to lick the raindrops off it.
And it all ends happily, with a wedding, and Suit!Geoffrey
waving goodbye.
Episode Ten - 'The Astral Plane'
Geoff is amused at getting told off by the client.
And now Geoffrey is indignant!
Geoffrey's trailing the suspect's daughter.
Sprung! She's spotted him! He shows tongue to distract
her.
He takes her out in the hopes of getting laid
information.
And she attacks his masculinity. Poor Geoff.
Gratuitous shot of Geoffrey smiling. Because I can.
Geoff and Mr Wainthropp talk man-to-man about Geoff's
"urges". Hee :)
Woo! Geoffrey's gonna get some! Or is he?
No, Geoffrey! She'll lead you astray! Run, Geoff,
run!
Geoff tell Hetty that he's fallen for her suspect's
daughter...
... and it doesn't go down at all well.
Awww. Look at his little face!
Now he's all hurt and upset.
Hetty accuses Geoffrey of being obsessed with sex.
Dirty old cow!
A phone call at Casa Wainthropp! Drama! Geoffrey
is worried!
Hetty's become a grandmother. Celebration!
Hetty's off undercover; her menfolk wait by the
phone.
Oooh, he wields that remote control with such skill!
Geoff slips off to warn his girl that she's going
to be arrested - but she's gone.
And when he finds her, she dumps him anyway. She
was just using him, the hussy.
Confession time. Geoffrey offers to give Hetty his
resignation.
Hetty, of course, tells Geoff to wash, eat his supper
and be ready for work tomorrow. Yay!
Episode Eleven - 'A Rose By
Any Other Name'
Let's get Dom Tongue on screen right away.
Smug Geoffrey, being told "Well Done!"
by Hetty.
Housebreaking Geoffrey, stealing a chest from the
shady guy they're investigating.
Remoreseful Geoffrey, being told off by both the
Wainthropps for stealing!
He can't put it back now - he'll be arrested for
breaking and re-entering.
Oh, sod it, let's loot the bloke's chest anyway.
Smug Geoffrey again - he's helped the case despite
Hetty's scruples.
Interrogative Geoffrey and Hetty.
Yes, he's got his fingers in his mouth.
"Don't eat too many of those. Not good for
your pimples."
So like the expression on his face in FOTR when
they get the big firework :)
I'm sorry, Mrs Wainthropp, you'll have to speak
up. I'm wearing a stupid hat.
Why yes, I do enjoy dressing up when I'm undercover.
I still haven't forgotten that wig.
Oops, must go. Trouble at t'fish'n'chip shop.
Stop! I bring absolutely unbelievable news which
must halt the wedding!
Geoffrey being asked by Hetty to "give romance
a chance". No, she's not cracking on to him,
thank goodness.
And despite getting his wittle heart broken last
episode, he agrees. How noble.
Episode Twelve - 'Woman of the
Year'
Geoffrey watches Hetty coming downstairs, grinning
because he knows she's about to trip and fall.
Hetty's announced that she's leaving home. The menfolk
are distressed!
Hetty points out that Geoffrey's growing stubble.
He's delighted; his manliness is being noticed at
last!
But - hang on! Hetty wants him to go visit a nasty
violent criminal type! What?
"I'm only eighteen! And getting younger!"
Geoffrey brings Mr Wainthropp his cocoa in the middle
of the night while Hetty's away. How thoughtful.
Geoffrey and Mr Wainthropp admit their mutual concerns
over Hetty. Look at that concerned little face!
The morning after the night before. Geoffrey's
worries greatly enhance his appetite.
Yep, he's licking his thumb.
DomTongue (especially for Indigo Moon.)
Ladies and gentlemen, may I present: Geoffrey the
Nerd. Yes, he's undercover.
And his nerdishness brings out the brutishness in
the bad guy!
But he gets invited in to do his investigating anyway.
Another one of Nerd!Dom. Because I want to give
you some variety :)
Munching and musing.
Second helping of DomTongue for the day.
Mr Wainthropp and Geoffrey to the rescue of Undercover!Hetty.
And they spy while Hetty's under siege!
And all ends well...
And Geoffrey smiles happily into his booze while
the Wainthropps dance. Awwwww.
